The role

The Consultant helps the Awards Management team review and manage terms and conditions for potential opportunities and for grants and contracts that have been awarded to Winrock International (WI). The Consultant will be responsible for ensuring proper management of and compliance with awards funded by different institutions, particularly private philanthropy foundation funds, corporate funds and foreign government funds.

What you'll do

  • Provides guidance and identifies areas of improvement to ensure award functions are implemented consistently across the global organization.
  • Coordinates with Awards Management to develop, review and revise award documents and supports negotiations of award terms to ensure a favorable outcome for Winrock.
  • Prepares and delivers award briefs, advising on award compliance requirements.
  • Creates sub-agreement templates to comply with various funders' requirements
  • Researches and interprets funder rules and regulations and recommends risk mitigation strategies and solutions to program staff.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the international development donor landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret diverse donor regulations, assess contractual risk, and develop practical compliance solutions that support effective program implementation.
  • Experience managing awards funded by private foundations and corporate donors, including negotiating and administering grant agreements, ensuring donor compliance, supporting reporting requirements, managing amendments, and advising project teams on the unique requirements of philanthropic and corporate funding.
