The role
The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a Community Janitorial Crew Chief to lead community-based cleaning crews while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in gaining employment experience.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor individuals participating in The Arc's Community Janitorial Services program
- Teach cleaning tasks through hands-on instruction and demonstration
- Promote safe work practices and reinforce agency and workplace safety requirements
- Support employment and skill development
- Complete documentation related to daily activities, participant progress, and program operations
What it takes
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing
- Minimum of two years of janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience
- Experience performing floor care procedures
- Ability to safely operate a 10-12 passenger vehicle
- Must successfully complete all required state and federal background screenings and hiring requirements
