The role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership for Vermont Foodbank, a nonprofit organization focused on ending hunger in Vermont.
What you'll do
- Drive all aspects of the organization’s financial planning and well-being by providing financial analysis, projections, growth plans, and act as a strategic thought partner with the leadership team.
- Generate monthly financial reports for executive leaders, finance committee, and board meetings.
- Oversee all aspects of the organization’s financial management including accounting functions, cash flow management, accounts payable/accounts receivable, banking practices, financial reporting, inventory purchases, financial transactions, account monitoring, reconciliation, and investment monitoring in partnership with professional investment advisors.

- 8+ years of collaborative leadership experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or significant comparable experience in a highly regulated environment
- Solid experience in finance, accounting, inventory management and inventory accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
