The role
The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to build partnerships and create employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.
What you'll do
- Develop new relationships with local businesses, vendors, and community partners
- Foster and maintain existing business relationships and identify opportunities to expand partnerships
- Identify, pursue, and secure contracts and piece-work opportunities for The Arc's Employment Center
- Meet with businesses to understand their needs and determine how The Arc can provide quality work and services
- Coordinate contracts, work specifications, pricing, work orders, and communication with business partners
- Represent The Arc and advocate for meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities through networking, presentations, and community outreach
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- At least two years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, community outreach, or a related field
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- A genuine interest in advocating for employment opportunities and inclusion for adults with developmental disabilities
- Ability to confidently make new connections, develop partnerships, and represent The Arc professionally in the community
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities
