The role

The Budget and Finance Intern will assist in the review, consolidation, and collection of inputs supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and related disclosures.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the review, consolidation, and collection of inputs supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Prepare donor contribution receipts and support the preparation of documentation related to the recognition and recording of contributions.
  • Support budget-related discussions and decisions arising from Executive Board meetings and other governing body sessions.
  • Assist in monitoring budget implementation and expenditure trends, identifying variances, potential risks, and areas requiring regularization.
  • Support the organization, development, and maintenance of section records, reference material, templates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What it takes

  • Enrolled in a graduate school programme or final year of a first university degree program
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Fluency in oral and written English is required; knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
  • Experience in an international and multicultural environment is desirable.
