The role
The Gates Foundation is seeking an Associate, South Asia, Strategic Investment Fund to grow the investment portfolio by driving thesis formation, deal origination, investment execution and investment management activities with a focus on South Asia.
What you'll do
- Work closely with foundation program strategy teams
- Form investment theses and source potential investments in South Asia
- Participate in new investments, including due diligence and negotiation
- Present investments to the foundation's Investment Committee
- Participate in portfolio management
- Ensure high-quality interactions and clear communications
What it takes
- Analyst, Associate or Principal from a venture capital, growth equity, leveraged buy-out fund, investment bank or strategy consulting firm
- Meaningful experience in identifying and assessing investment opportunities
- Experience in conducting commercial and financial due diligence
- Experience in supporting transaction execution
- Strong interest in principal investing
- Intellectual curiosity, sound commercial judgement, and a genuine commitment to the foundation’s mission
