The role
Clean Air Fund is seeking an Analyst to support the design, management, and monitoring of philanthropic programmes and initiatives in Johannesburg, South Africa, for a 6-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).
What you'll do
- Support the design, management and monitoring of philanthropic programmes and initiatives
- Manage and coordinate grants and grant-related processes
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders
- Support communications and engagement activities across relevant programmes
- Contribute to strategy development within your main area of work
- Coordinate projects and workstreams across multiple teams in a matrix environment
What it takes
- Experience managing projects within an international non-governmental organization, philanthropic organization or related sector in South Africa or elsewhere in Africa
- Experience working on environmental, public health and/or air quality issues
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of sectors
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience working across different cultural and socio-economic contexts, with cultural sensitivity
- Strong communication skills, including report writing, grant management, minute-taking, presentations and stakeholder engagement
