The role

The Youth Success Specialist Intern supports the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Youth Program by assisting in the delivery of academic, social-emotional, and enrichment services for refugee and immigrant youth through 10 weeks of mentorships and tutoring cohorts as well as field trips.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate virtual tutoring and mentoring sessions via Zoom
  • Support outreach, scheduling, and communication with youth participants and volunteer mentors/tutors
  • Monitor virtual sessions to ensure a safe and respectful environment
  • Develop and share educational resources, activities, and content
  • Track attendance and assist with basic data entry and documentation
  • Collaborate with the Youth Success Specialist to identify and respond to youth needs
