The role

The Youth Program Manager (YPM) is responsible for the successful execution and quality program delivery of statewide programs serving high school youth in a field-based overnight setting, overseeing staff, driving recruitment, ensuring high-quality field programming, managing risk, and auditing data integrity.

  • Drive the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of AmeriCorps Youth Program Leaders
  • Direct the execution of the five-week Leadership Development Program
  • Provide direct supervision to staff and ensure high-quality field programming
  • Oversee youth program enrollment pipelines and manage virtual parent/guardian orientations
  • Manage incident response and complex crew dynamics

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with teens and understanding of adolescent development
  • Knowledge of youth program risk management practices
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills
  • Fluency with Google Workspace and database management
