The role

World Relief is seeking a Youth Fellow to support refugee and immigrant students through after-school tutoring, high school lunch groups, and case management services. This is a part-time, limited-term position funded through a grant until June 30, 2027.

What you'll do

  • Support programming initiatives like after-school tutoring and high school lunch groups
  • Coordinate with DPS staff, students, and parents to identify needs and challenges
  • Support families through school registration and enrollment processes
  • Facilitate interpretation for parent/teacher conferences
  • Facilitate increased communication between parents and teachers
  • Work with DPS and volunteer base to provide transportation for program activities

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Fluency in a language spoken by World Relief clients
  • Experience as a student in RIYS programming and/or Durham Public Schools
  • Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle, and ability to pass MVR standards
