The Workforce Development Floater assists individuals with disabilities in establishing meaningful connections within their community and provides opportunities to build relationships, self-confidence, and independence to supplement employment.
What you'll do
- Assist individuals with disabilities in establishing meaningful connections within their community
- Provide coaching and support to build relationships, self-confidence, and independence
- Develop a process for exploring individual strengths, skills, needs, and interests
- Teach additional skills such as appropriate social skills, grooming/hygiene, money management, safety, and transportation
- Complete assessments, write regular case notes, and submit reports to referral sources
- Be available to work evenings and weekends
What it takes
- Two years of college education in counseling, special education, occupational therapy, social services, or related field
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets insurance company criteria
- Experience working with individuals with employment barriers
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Systems (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively and be flexible
