The role

Tangled Bank Conservation is seeking Wildlife Conservation Technicians to support multiple concurrent, multi-state conservation initiatives in Asheville, NC.

What you'll do

  • Collect eDNA samples and aquatic macroinvertebrate samples using established protocols.
  • Assess field sites to determine suitability for sampling.
  • Plan and execute an efficient sampling schedule.
  • Properly filter, store, and ship collected samples.
  • Deploy, maintain, and retrieve camera trap arrays following project protocols.
  • Process aquatic macroinvertebrate samples in a laboratory setting.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience with field work and data collection, particularly in wildlife monitoring.
