The role

Develops new approaches, policies, processes and procedures and makes recommendations for the effective administration and improvement of the Agency’s website design and usability, ensuring optimal user experience and compliance with latest industry standards.

What you'll do

  • Develops new approaches, policies, processes and procedures for the effective administration and improvement of the Agency’s website design and usability.
  • Designs creative, interactive and immersive webpages, using web design platforms and content management systems.
  • Supervises the English Language Website Manager and the Arabic Language Webmaster to ensure both languages on the websites reflect corresponding and accurate content.
  • Liaises with the Head of Creative Digital and Multimedia, and focal points in the Agency’s fields of operations, and relevant UNRWA departments, to produce web content.
  • Analyzes website performance statistics and performs various Search Engine Optimisation tasks.
  • Coordinates with the web and social media vendors to improve services in line with up-to-date technologies.

What it takes

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution in computer science, communications, or other related discipline.
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in a large national or international organization.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • Experience in Web management, and New Media.
  • Knowledge of web communications technologies, including Drupal 11, and standards.
