The role
The WASH Assistant will provide support in the implementation and monitoring of RI’s WASH activities at health facilities and supported communities, including supervision, coordination, and technical follow-up.
What you'll do
- Supervision of WASH Monitors in health facilities
- Monitoring the implementation of water quality tests
- Following up on the operation of water and sanitation treatment systems
- Overseeing the implementation of infection prevention and control protocols
- Monitoring processes of collecting, sorting, and transporting medical waste
- Preparing and submitting periodic technical reports
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related field
- At least 2 years’ practical experience in management of WASH facilities in health care setting or health
- Experience in development of health care infrastructure designs, BoQ and supervising constructions
- Experience in supervising or following up on field teams
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare accurate and clear technical reports
- Ability to perform fieldwork and travel frequently between various work sites and under diverse operating conditions
