The role
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Volunteer Services Specialist to support the Employment Services program and AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program.
What you'll do
- Recruit, screen, onboard, train, schedule, supervise, and recognize volunteers supporting the Employment Services program
- Coordinate volunteer assignments and schedules in collaboration with Employment Services staff
- Provide ongoing communication, support, coaching, and problem-solving to volunteers
- Ensure compliance with AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP requirements and applicable federal grant regulations
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and activity data using volunteer management systems
What it takes
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in volunteer coordination or related role
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience scheduling, coordinating, and supporting volunteers or staff in a service-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with demonstrated emotional intelligence
