The role
UNICEF is seeking five Community SBC Volunteers to support the Public Health Zones in Benin for a period of three months, focusing on enhancing community engagement and demand generation for vaccination.
What you'll do
- Support the development and implementation of SBC interventions and community engagement activities
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of communication activities specified in the Communication and Social Behavior Change Strategy (CCSC) for routine vaccination in urban areas
- Support health platform actors in researching and vaccinating zero-dose and under-immunized children
- Participate in co-creation sessions for strengthening routine vaccination
- Document best practices, life stories, and lessons learned from the implementation of CCSC strategy in urban and peri-urban areas
What it takes
- At least 2 years of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring communication and community engagement activities for vaccination and community health
- Experience as a UN Volunteer (benevolat, internship) is highly appreciated
- Fluency in local languages such as Fon, Mina, Adja
