The role
Farsight Africa Group is seeking a Video Editor/Cameraman to operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment, edit footage, and support multimedia production in Kenya.
What you'll do
- Operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage
- Edit raw footage into polished news packages, analysis programmes, interviews, short-form social media videos and campaign content
- Support the design and production of motion graphics, simple animations and infographics
- Work closely with content producers, presenters, communication teams and subject matter experts
- Manage production timelines and coordinate with external partners, guests and stakeholders
What it takes
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television Production, Multimedia, Media and Journalism, Communication, Photography or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a video editor, cameraman or videographer
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating filming and editing work
- Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar motion graphics and design tools
- Hands-on experience operating professional cameras, lighting, audio and studio equipment
