The role

The Vice President of US Government Partnerships at International Justice Mission (IJM) will lead the organization's strategy to engage US government institutions in protecting vulnerable people from violence, focusing on legislative and executive branch partnerships, and driving policy change.

  • Lead a team to move US government institutions to partner, invest, and champion IJM’s model of change
  • Equip IJM program offices to engage US Embassies for resource and influence
  • Build and develop a highly effective, deeply engaged team
  • Lead the development and dissemination of leading-edge expertise
  • Lead and align global, regional, and country teams around KPIs, metrics, and data collection
  • Lead annual grassroots advocacy campaigns

What it takes

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience
  • Expertise in addressing forced labor and human rights abuse
  • Proven experience working in government or shaping government policy
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with US Government structures and US development assistance mechanisms
  • Superior leadership with a proven track record of building strong, aligned, and highly effective teams
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
