The role
The Vice President of Finance is responsible for ensuring that compliance, accounting, cash flow, and risk management at the Lancaster Conservancy run effectively and efficiently.
What you'll do
- Create an annual budget in partnership with the CEO and Sr VPs
- Provide accounting functions working closely with the Development & Accounting Manager
- Manage income, grant, and expense tracking, including restricted funds
- Oversee bookkeeping (payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts)
- Prepare timely financial reports for the Board of Directors as needed
- Coordinate annual audit and tax filings
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with minimum 5 years of experience
- Non-profit accounting experience preferred
- Sage Intacct Accounting software proficiency
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
- Passion for the environment and land conservation
