The role
The Vice President, Health Information & Technology provides senior level leadership for the organization’s Information Technology (IT) and Health Information Management (HIM) functions, including clinical applications, data systems, interoperability, security, and information/data governance.
What you'll do
- Serve as the senior most leader for IT, clinical applications, data, and information management and security functions
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and maintain a multi-year technology and data strategy
- Oversee all IT operations including network and infrastructure, end-user systems, and cybersecurity
- Provide senior level oversight for clinical applications and health information management
- Lead development of enterprise data capabilities and ensure data accuracy and accessibility
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and oversee cybersecurity strategy
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare IT, health information systems, or digital health
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director, Senior Director, or VP level)
- Demonstrated experience in EHR and clinical systems, IT infrastructure and security, and data and reporting
- Strong vendor management and budget oversight experience
- Experience in nonprofit healthcare, community health, public health, or complex regulated environments
