The role
The Vice President, Europe will lead policy work on the transatlantic economic relationship and advance the interests of American business across key EU institutions, European markets, and policy portfolios.
What you'll do
- Partner with the senior vice president, Europe on strategic development and growth of the Europe Program
- Shape and expand Chamber advocacy and programming pertaining to transatlantic relations
- Lead advocacy in the EU, member state and other European capitals, and Washington on key policy priorities
- Provide strategic oversight of the Europe team’s energy and sustainability work
- Assist in fundraising outreach and membership growth and retention
- Represent the Chamber in public and private settings
What it takes
- 10+ years of experience in international affairs, trade, government relations, public policy and regulation, business advocacy, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree required with advanced degree in international relations, public policy, law, business, economics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of transatlantic commercial relations and policies affecting U.S. companies in Europe
- Demonstrated policy and regulatory expertise in two or more of the following areas: digital, cybersecurity, defense, tax, energy, sustainability, or international trade
- Experience working with senior government officials, business executives, diplomatic representatives, and/or trade association leaders
- Deep knowledge of EU institutions and European regulatory processes
