This position requires deep expertise in urban planning and public health to deliver a scalable roadmap for healthier, more resilient Egyptian cities. The consultancy will last for 6 months on a part-time basis.
What you'll do
- Develop a project work plan and methodology in collaboration with UN-Habitat and government partners.
- Conduct comprehensive research and SWOT analysis on Egyptian urban health, environment, and infrastructure indicators.
- Facilitate consultative meetings and workshops with stakeholders to align the manual with national strategies and SDGs.
- Formulate an integrated framework of quantitative and qualitative standards for healthy, sustainable urban areas.
- Design and deliver capacity-building training to specialized authorities on the manual's implementation.
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in urban planning, urban health, public health, or sustainable urbanism.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in urban development or related policy fields.
- Proven track record in developing urban standards, indicators, or strategic frameworks.
- Expert proficiency in both Arabic and English (oral and written).
- Experience working with international organizations and government counterparts in Egypt.
