The role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking an international consultant to develop two Medium Sized Project (MSPs) submissions for the phase out of dental amalgam use in oral care, targeting specific regions and countries.

What you'll do

  • Draft project submission packages and associated annexes
  • Coordinate with government focal points and national institutions
  • Develop baseline scenario and key barriers analysis
  • Design project components, outcomes, outputs, and activities
  • Develop gender mainstream action plan and stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Create communication and risk mitigation plans

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in dentistry, public health or related field
  • At least 7 years of working experience in project management at the international level
  • Working knowledge of donor-funded projects (development and supervision)
  • Experience in GEF and UNEP environmental or industry-related programmes is desirable
