The role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking an intern to assist the UNEP FI Climate Change team with implementing work related to A&R, and support the coordination and management of its flagship programmes.
What you'll do
- Conduct research and analysis on climate adaptation and resilience finance topics
- Support the drafting and editing of publications
- Coordinate engagement with member banks, insurers, investors, development finance institutions, UN agencies, consultants, and external experts
- Organize webinars, workshops, consultation calls, and in-person events
- Lead the drafting and delivery of Adaptation Community of Practice monthly newsletters
What it takes
- Academic background in economics, social sciences, natural sciences, environmental science, public policy, sustainable development, international relations, business administration, finance, or another related field
- Fluency in oral and written English is required; knowledge of another UN language is desirable
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) or be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent)
