The role

This internship position is in the Sustainable Ocean and Blue Economy Programme, at the Trade, Environment, Climate Change and Sustainable Development Branch, Division on International Trade and Commodities (DITC) of UNCTAD. The intern will support various activities related to economic/legal/political analysis, meeting and communications support, technical cooperation/capacity building, and general duties.

What you'll do

  • Prepare briefing notes, inputs to speeches, PowerPoint presentations, flyers and other communication material
  • Support preparations for UNCTAD’s Sustainable Ocean and Blue Economy Programme events and trainings
  • Follow meetings and prepare minutes, summary reports, list of participants, evaluation forms
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of the 6th UN Ocean Forum and online trainings

What it takes

  • Enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
  • Fluency oral and written in English is required
  • Knowledge of French, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese is an advantage
