The role
Support financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting to inform decision-making, collaborate with the Grants Finance team in overseeing the financial aspects of specific Uganda-focused grants, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and continuous update of 5-year rolling forecasts and financial models
- Act as the primary financial advisor for strategic initiatives
- Direct the monthly financial reporting and Budget vs. Actual (BVA) processes
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and manage grant spending
- Prepare and timely file all Uganda-specific tax returns
- Strengthen the organization’s financial integrity by identifying control weaknesses and risk exposures
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Over 4 years of progressive experience in finance, consulting, or strategic advisory
- Full professional qualification in ACCA or CPA (U)
- Experience managing multi-currency grants from major donors
- Fluency in Power BI and Google Sheets with intermediate Microsoft Excel modeling capabilities
- Proven ability to architect complex financial models and leverage data visualization
