The role
The Temporary Assistant Dean of Culture at DREAM Charter Schools supports the Dean’s Office staff by setting a positive culture, focusing on scholar achievement, and providing direct supervision, data input, and intervention services to scholars.
What you'll do
- Monitor class transitions, lunch, recess, after-school reflection, in-school suspension, and scholars otherwise out of class
- Supervise all aspects of the after-school reflection program
- Input school culture data into information systems
- Responsible for logging, tracking, and completing paperwork for discipline issues
- Facilitate community building and response to harm restorative circles
- Communicate with families regarding school response to student misbehavior, conduct violations, and investigations
What it takes
- Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience working directly with adolescents, preferably in a school-based environment
- Experience using responsive classroom or restorative practices, strongly preferred
- Special education degree or training, preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
- A deep sense of urgency to increase student achievement
