The Technical Officer, Quality Improvement, will provide programmatic and data support for the EpiC MNCH/N project in Bauchi State, Nigeria. This role focuses on strengthening integrated maternal, newborn, child health, and nutrition services at primary healthcare facilities and community levels. The position involves conducting quality improvement cycles, supporting data validation, and collaborating with local health stakeholders to improve service delivery outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Provide daily technical support for MNCH/N interventions at PHC and community levels.
  • Implement quality improvement cycles including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform routine data collection, validation, and quality checks for MNCH/N indicators.
  • Collaborate with community health workers and ward committees to drive service uptake.
  • Conduct facility-level training, mentorship, and capacity-strengthening efforts.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, or Community Health.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in MNCH, Nutrition, PHC, or HIV programs.
  • Strong background in DHIS2 data management and reporting.
  • Proven experience in NGO or government public health systems.
  • Familiarity with Nigeria's PHC systems and community structures.
