The role

The Technical Officer, Quality Improvement, will provide technical, programmatic, and data support for the EpiC MNCH/N project in Bauchi State, Nigeria. This role focuses on strengthening maternal, newborn, child health, and nutrition services at the PHC and community levels through quality improvement cycles and capacity building. The incumbent will work closely with PHC staff and community stakeholders to ensure high-impact interventions and robust data management.

What you'll do

  • Provide daily technical support for MNCH/N implementation across PHC facilities.
  • Execute quality improvement cycles including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine data quality checks and maintain accurate reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with community health workers to drive service uptake and referral coordination.
  • Facilitate training and mentorship for facility and community-level teams.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, or Community Health.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in MNCH, Nutrition, PHC, or HIV programs.
  • Strong proficiency in DHIS2 and data management tools.
  • Proven experience in an NGO or government public health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
