The role
ALX Africa is seeking a Technical Mentor to support learners in the Content Creation program, providing technical support and fostering a vibrant community of emerging African creatives.
What you'll do
- Facilitate weekly live study sessions and walkthroughs on topics such as brand building, video editing, storytelling, and content strategy
- Mentor learners on core content creation skills, including hooks, scripting, storytelling, and video structure
- Provide async guidance on tools, workflows, project submissions, and portfolios through the community platform
- Support learners in building strong portfolios and personal brands
- Maintain a consistent daily presence on the community platform, encouraging peer collaboration, discussion, and Q&A
- Support 2–3 live community events each month, including creative showcases, feedback sessions, and portfolio reviews
