The role
Last Mile Health (LMH) is seeking individual consultants to support a comprehensive evaluation of technical assistance efforts in community health systems across Africa. The role involves data collection, analysis, and reporting.
What you'll do
- Conduct desk reviews and design evaluation tools
- Administer and manage surveys
- Plan and conduct key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs)
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and documentation of data
- Participate in team analysis sessions and validation discussions with AFF and country stakeholders
- Contribute to the final evaluation report and accompanying summary products
What it takes
- Demonstrated expertise in research and program evaluation
- Strong knowledge of evaluation methodologies, including mixed-methods research designs and theory-based approaches
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Professional fluency in French (required for the Francophone consultant position)
- Excellent technical writing skills, including drafting high-quality evaluation reports for institutional audiences
