The role

The Technical Advisor I, Supply Chain Management CVA role involves supporting the development and application of supply chain approaches for cash and voucher assistance in emergency and non-emergency programs, providing practical support to regional and Country Program teams, and contributing to tools and learning.

What you'll do

  • Identify gaps in supply chain policies, procedures, standards, tools, and guidance for CVA programs
  • Provide practical technical support to regional and Country Offices and Country Program teams
  • Contribute to market mapping of service providers, response analysis, and project design
  • Support agency-wide and country-level procurements involving FSPs and voucher vendors
  • Support global-level and country-level contracting and supplier management processes
  • Develop, adapt, and deliver training and coaching on supply chain roles and responsibilities

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, economics, supply chain management or relevant field
  • Minimum of five-eight relevant work experience with progressive responsibilities
  • At least three (3) years of international experience implementing or supporting cash and voucher assistance
  • Experience with procurement in the humanitarian or public sector
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with commercial supply chain actors or financial service providers in one or more developing countries
  • Experience supporting humanitarian emergency responses
