The role

Save the Children is seeking a TeamUp Facilitator for the Northeast region of the Netherlands to support the mental well-being of refugee children aged 6-17 through sports and play activities. The role involves organizing and facilitating sessions, managing administrative tasks, and collaborating with volunteers and colleagues. What you'll do

  • Organize and facilitate TeamUp sport, play, and movement activities for children aged 6-17
  • Manage administrative tasks such as attendance lists and evaluations
  • Collaborate with a team of paid/volunteer facilitators to ensure quality implementation
  • Identify and report concerning behavior in children requiring specialized help
  • Participate in training sessions on Fridays

What it takes

  • Experience organizing activities for children aged 6-17 with sports elements
  • Education or experience in sports, education, or psychomotor therapy (MBO4 level)
  • Proficiency in Dutch (minimum A2) and English
  • Valid driver's license and a car to reach remote locations
  • Residency in the Northeast region of-the-Netherlands
  • Knowledge of other languages like Arabic, Farsi, Tigrinya, or Turkish is a plus
