The role
The American Red Cross is seeking a TCS Medical Officer to lead the medical office engagement with their Therapeutic Apheresis and Cellular Therapeutics (TCS) programs. This role involves providing expert clinical oversight, collaborating with TCS leadership, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
What you'll do
- Provide expert clinical oversight and serve as a primary consultant
- Collaborate with TCS leadership towards enabling program development
- Contribute towards the expansion of cellular services
- Serve as the program’s medical office representative
- Provide medical oversight for the transfer of client-specific protocols
- Investigate and resolve donor/recipient concerns
What it takes
- MD/DO with Board Certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
- Proven experience with FACT accreditation processes and AABB Standards
- Knowledge of FDA regulations governing HCT/Ps
- Demonstrate prior leadership experience in program development
- Experience leading or overseeing investigator-initiated clinical trials or translational research
