The role
The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is seeking a Sustainable Development Intern to support the Sustainable Development and Countries in Special Situations Section (SDCSS). What you'll do
- Provide logistical and coordination support for the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development
- Assist in the preparation of meetings with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Design and create multimedia and social media content for outreach purposes
- Conduct research and synthesize data into reports, presentations, and infographics
- Maintain websites and knowledge management platforms with updated materials
What it takes
- Enrolled in a graduate program or final year of an undergraduate program, or a recent graduate
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong interest in sustainable development challenges in the Asia-Pacific region
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week)
- Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset
