The role
SUD Counselor I position at Horizon Services, Inc. in Alameda County, CA, responsible for client intake, treatment planning, and ongoing support in a substance use disorder treatment program.
What you'll do
- Perform vital sign patient self-monitoring tasks
- Participate in daily shift change reporting concerns
- Collaborate with team in response to crisis or emergency
- Maintain a positive, welcoming approach with incoming clients
- Conduct property safety checks
- Ensure daily census requirements are met
What it takes
- Certification or registration with Substance Use state certifying body in California (CAADE/CCAPP/CADTP)
- Experience working with high and at-risk population
- Bilingual in Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of data capture and data input into Electronic Health Records
- Knowledge of alcohol and drug addiction
- Knowledge of social model detox concepts
