The role

Chemonics is seeking Subject Matter Experts with experience in Human Rights and other areas to support work related to rights-respecting remedy and implementation efforts in Papua New Guinea.

What you'll do

  • Provide expert review of plans, designs, and deliverables
  • Participate in technical advisory inputs and quality assurance
  • Support the design of governance, engagement, and remedy processes
  • Advise on the establishment/strengthening of grievance and safeguarding mechanisms
  • Engage in community consultation methodologies

What it takes

  • Post-graduate (Master’s) degree in development, communications, finance, economics, business administration, law, or other related fields
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in relevant subject matter delivering quality services
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of different stakeholders
  • Experience working with leadership across key government agencies, civil society organizations, or community-based institutions
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Fluency in other Asia Pacific languages is a plus
