The role
The Subgerente de Preparación y Respuesta Humanitaria is responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of emergency and humanitarian action project objectives at the national level, implementing quality program policies, and managing the national team and projects.
What you'll do
- Establish strategic orientations for emergency, food security, and humanitarian action projects and ensure their implementation.
- Support resource mobilization by supervising the formulation, monitoring, and tracking of emergency and humanitarian action grants.
- Strengthen national risk management systems and update emergency plans.
- Lead and manage the performance of the national team and successfully manage binational projects if applicable.
- Ensure compliance with the PMERL system as part of the program quality policy in emergency and humanitarian action.
- Promote gender equality and inclusion in emergency and humanitarian action projects throughout the project cycle.

- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related fields
- Postgraduate degree in Risk Management, Security, Disaster Management, Migration
- At least 4 years of experience in risk management and human mobility
- Desired knowledge and experience in climate change (2 years)
- High proficiency in English spoken and written
