The role
The Study Hall Lead develops and leads engaging, structured study hall programming for middle school students participating in after-school athletics, enrichment teams, and clubs.
What you'll do
- Lead study hall periods for students participating in after-school teams or clubs
- Facilitate study hall periods and support one to two groups at a time
- Develop and facilitate lessons that help build academic, social-emotional, and executive functioning skills
- Provide academic support related to studying, homework completion, and preparation for assessments
- Establish clear routines and expectations
- Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders
What it takes
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters in Education preferred
- Experience as a middle school teacher, strongly preferred
- Ability to plan engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons
- Experience facilitating groups of adolescents
