The role

The State Program Officer will support the development and implementation of maternal and newborn health programs in Gujarat, India, focusing on project management, advocacy, and technical assistance.

What you'll do

  • Support the development of new projects and pre-contracting process

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine with Masters in Paediatrics/Preventive and Social Medicine/Community Medicine/Public Health
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in programming in public health & nutrition with experience of working with Government
  • Broad knowledge of nutrition including micronutrient and related interventions and health systems in India
  • Strong Project management and administration skills
  • Familiar with the monitoring systems in public health programmes
  • Language Skills - English and Hindi, both oral and written. Good writing skills in English is a pre-requisite. Knowledge of Gujarati will be an advantage
