The role
The State Program Officer will support Evidence Action’s technical assistance approach for Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) supplementation under Anaemia Mukt Bharat in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on policy advocacy, program design, and management, and knowledge management.
What you'll do
- Ensure IFA activities are well planned and adequately budgeted in State PIPs/RoPs
- Support GoAP to convene regular review meetings
- Coordinate with the Health/NHM IEC cell and Education/WCD counterparts
- Develop guidelines, trackers, and tools for implementation and monitoring
- Undertake field visits to provide technical support
- Engage with stakeholders to share findings and lessons from implementation
What it takes
- Postgraduate degree in public health, nutrition, health management, Social work or related disciplines
- 9–10 years’ experience in the development sector
- Experience collaborating with the Government on maternal, child health, and nutrition programs
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Government departments in Andhra Pradesh
- Demonstrated experience in supporting and managing teams
- Strong knowledge of public-sector health systems and programs
