The role

The Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) seeks a full-time Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable while supporting other accounting functions in their Seattle office.

What you'll do

  • Manage accounts payable
  • Support other accounting functions as directed by the Finance Director
  • Process payroll for all staff
  • Prepare, process, and review bi-weekly payroll
  • Assist with annual audit and tax preparation

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 1+ year accounting experience
  • Knowledge and experience with GAAP accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with MIP, SAP Concur, web-based software, MS Word, and Excel
