The role

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Special Education Teacher to teach in a 12-month non-public special education setting, serving students with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning support needs.

What you'll do

Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with grade-level and content standards, IEPs, and treatment goals
Assess and monitor student performance and adjust instruction accordingly
Collaborate with administrators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement IEPs and treatment plans
Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic classroom environment
Maintain accurate and timely student records
Perform assigned supervisory and administrative responsibilities

What it takes

Provisional Special Education Teacher (518000) or Special Education Teacher I (517000) or Special Education Teacher II (517500) or Special Education Teacher (I or II) for Physical Ed/Health specialty
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
Licensure in Special Education by the Maryland State Department of Education
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) training
CPR/First Aid certification
Ability to work in a school and classroom environment serving students with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning support needs
