The role
As a Social/Residential Care Leader with Criacare, you will provide high-quality, child-centred care while supporting and guiding the team on shift. You will work closely with management and colleagues to ensure each young person receives individualised care and support in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.
What you'll do
- Lead and support the staff team during shifts
- Provide high-quality, child-centred residential care and support
- Develop and implement individual Placement and Crisis Management Plans
- Support young people with their educational, social and developmental needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Liaise with parents, social workers and other professionals as required
What it takes
- A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or another relevant qualification
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working directly with children or young people in a social care setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Standards for Children's Residential Centres
- Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills
- A full manual driving licence valid in Ireland
- Eligibility for CORU registration as a Social Care Worker is desirable
