The role
The Social Policy Officer (Social Protection) will support the implementation and monitoring of social protection programs in Mozambique, focusing on the Child Grant Programme and ProSAS.
What you'll do
- Support the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of UNICEF-supported Social Protection programmes
- Provide technical, operational and administrative support for programme implementation
- Coordinate and support capacity-building activities
- Conduct regular field monitoring missions to assess programme implementation
- Support programme monitoring and evaluation activities
- Prepare high-quality technical reports

- 7 years of professional experience in social development planning and management
- Field experience in programme implementation and demonstrated experience working with government counterparts
- Solid familiarity with Mozambique’s social protection and child protection systems
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Strong data analysis and information management skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Kobo Toolbox, Power BI and other digital analytics tools
