The role
The position holder will be responsible for implementing Save the Children’s component of the People in Need (PIN)-led consortium project, Pratibaddha IV: Whole-of-Society Approach to Strengthening and Scaling Shock Responsive and Anticipatory Multi Hazard Preparedness and Response in Western Nepal.
What you'll do
- Serve as the district and local level technical focal person for SRSP within DRM governance
- Facilitate capacity-building activities with PIN and the Senior Shock Responsive Social Protection Coordinator
- Lead development of SRSP-related SOPs and guidelines at the district and local level
- Ensure quality, identify best practices, and share them with the Senior Shock Responsive Social Protection Coordinator
- Support project management and implementation of SCI component in a consortium led by PIN
- Coordinate with local government and other stakeholders
What it takes
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in DRR/humanitarian/social protection sectors
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience
- Solid project delivery, implementation, and monitoring skills
- Experience working on shock responsive social protection, anticipatory action, DRR, and emergency preparedness work
- Good understanding of SRSP, anticipatory action, DRR, and humanitarian programming
- Proven coordination experience with municipalities, district stakeholders, and government partners
