The role

The Uganda Society for Disabled Children (USDC) is seeking a service provider to document the progress and outcomes of the Strengthening Public Accountability and Investment in Education (SPAIE) Project in Yumbe District, Uganda.

What you'll do

  • Document the perspectives and experiences of key district stakeholders
  • Capture the role of district and community structures in promoting accountability and improved investment in education
  • Document selected project interventions and activities
  • Capture the participation and engagement of children, parents/caregivers, teachers, community leaders and other relevant stakeholders
  • Document the experiences and perspectives of project schools and community structures
  • Provide high-quality visual content for project reporting, advocacy, and communication

What it takes

  • Proven experience in professional photography and videography
  • Demonstrated experience in documentary and human-interest storytelling
  • Experience documenting development, education, disability inclusion, community or social-impact programmes
  • Strong interviewing and storytelling skills
  • Experience working with children and vulnerable communities
  • Good understanding of safeguarding principles
