The role
To provide mid-to-senior technical advisory support in urban planning, spatial development, master planning, urban design, and city transformation initiatives aligned with national development strategies, sustainable urbanisation objectives, and SDG priorities.
What you'll do
- Lead or support the development of strategic spatial plans, master plans, structure plans, urban regeneration frameworks, and city transformation strategies
- Integrate land use, mobility, infrastructure, housing, public realm, economic development, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience considerations into planning outputs
- Support preparation of urban design guidelines, planning standards, zoning inputs, development control principles, and implementation roadmaps
- Review urban development proposals, masterplans, concept designs, and feasibility studies for technical quality, design coherence, and policy alignment
What it takes
- University degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Regional Planning, Urban Development, or a related field
- A Master’s degree is preferred for senior advisory assignments
- 5-20 years of progressively responsible experience in urban planning, urban design, spatial development, regional planning, or related disciplines
- Experience in strategic planning, master planning, urban regeneration, government advisory, or large-scale development programmes is strongly preferred
- Experience in GCC, Middle East, emerging-market, or fast-transforming urban contexts is an advantage
