The role
The Senior Technical Officer (STO), HIV Prevention and HIV Testing Services, provides technical leadership and support for the implementation of HIV prevention and HIV Testing Services (HTS) interventions under the EpiC project in Tanzania.
What you'll do
- Supports technical planning, implementation, and monitoring of HIV prevention and testing services across supported regions
- Contributes to the technical design and implementation of HIV prevention interventions
- Strengthens staff capacity to implement HTS strategies
- Provides on-the-job mentorship and dissemination of guidelines
- Supports project initiatives in ensuring safety and ethical HTS/LCM services
- Supports regions in achieving the first 95 targets
What it takes
- Degree in Medicine or Nursing, or related field with relevant national registration
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in HIV prevention, HIV Testing Services (HTS), public health, or related health programs
- Demonstrated experience implementing HIV prevention interventions
- Experience working with the Ministry of Health and other donor-funded health programs
- Proven experience in technical assistance, capacity building, mentorship, and supportive supervision
- Experience developing technical reports, work plans, presentations, and other programmatic deliverables
