The role
The Senior Specialist Livelihoods and Climate Programming will lead strategy development and the technical design and implementation of high-quality programs that deliver change for children in Uganda, focusing on livelihoods, climate adaptive programming, and social protection.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership for the child poverty portfolio
- Lead high-quality technical livelihoods and climate adaptive programming program design
- Ensure program quality through design and implementation
- Support the development of MEAL frameworks and plans
- Support new business development colleagues through technical inputs
- Represent Save the Children in donor engagements
What it takes
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience of leading the design and implementation of humanitarian and development programs
- Understanding of the livelihoods, climate, and social protection sector in Uganda
- Experience in climate smart agriculture, natural resource management, social protection, and climate change
- Experience with cash programming
- Demonstrated program design, monitoring and evaluation skills
